This year, Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF) has been ranked 7th. Rankings of Foundations was based on the value of grants awarded.
While total giving by foundations was up 12 percent, the increase in giving was almost entirely driven by foundations in the top 10. In fact, WCCF’s giving increase exceeded 60%. Something only four other foundations, including Cleveland and Akron, were able to do during the pandemic.
“To be named by Crain’s Cleveland Business as a Top Foundation is a meaningful testament to the generosity of our donors,” says Melanie Garcia, Executive Director of the Foundation. “With all the uncertainty of the past few years, it is important that the Foundation be able to help so many of our nonprofit organizations continue the good work they do each and every day for the citizens of Wayne County.”
For 40 years, Crain’s Cleveland Business has been the trusted source for business news and information for Northeast Ohio’s top executives and business owners.
