The Women's Fund was established to impact the lives of women and children in Wayne County, Ohio by directing resources to organizations that support the education of women and empower change and self-sufficiency.
The Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF) is pleased to announce the 2018 grant awards from The Women’s Fund. Based on the evaluations and recommendations from The Women’s Fund Advisory Committee, the WCCF Board of Trustees approved the following grant awards:
Community Action Wayne/Holmes received a $15,000 grant for their Getting Ahead: Building Resources for a Better Life / A Self-Sufficiency Program.
OneEighty, Inc. received a $5,000 grant to support supplies, training, and activities related to the OneEighty Parenting Program.
This is the fourth competitive grant cycle of The Women’s Fund, with a total of $70,000 awarded to benefit women in Wayne County, since its inception in 2013.
The WCCF is a not-for-profit charitable community organization established in 1978 to accept contributions, create and administer funds, and make grants for the benefit of the people of the greater Wayne County area. The Foundation has awarded more than $72 million in the form of grants and scholarships from its 435 separate funds. Donations to provide greater future grant opportunities can be made to The Women’s Fund, a component fund of WCCF, by individuals, families, businesses and service organizations. The Women’s Fund grant guidelines and online application are available at www.waynecountycommunityfoundation.org. Competitive grant applications from nonprofit, tax-exempt, charitable organizations that benefit women within the greater Wayne County, Ohio, area should be submitted by September 1 each year.
