Women's Fund offers unique gift for Mother's Day

Mother's Day is right around the corner. The Women's Fund, an affiliate of Wayne County Community Foundation, is offering community members the chance to honor the special women in their life with a Mother's Day gift that will benefit women and girls throughout Wayne County.

Through April 30, donors can make tribute or memorial gifts to The Women's Fund in honor of women who have impacted their lives. In turn, those women will receive a beautiful Mother's Day card informing them a gift was made in their name, though the amount will not be disclosed.

Donations will ultimately support the funds' grantmaking. The Women's Fund awards grants to programs that improve the education, economic empowerment, and quality of life for women in Wayne County.

"The Mother's Day campaign is a great opportunity for individuals to honor a loved one with a beautifully decorated card while supporting causes that uplift women and girls," said Lacie Neal, Program Manager. "Not only is this an opportunity to honor your mother, but really any woman who has made a lasting difference in your life."
