The Wayne County Community Youth Foundation is now accepting applications for grants that benefit youth in the greater Wayne County, Ohio area. Charitable, 501(c)3 tax-exempt organizations, educational institutions, and qualified governmental agencies, that benefit youth activities, may apply. See the Youth Foundation Grant Guidelines and WCCF Youth Foundation Grant Proposal Application to apply. Deadline is February 1, 2014 at noon.
Established in January 2013, the Youth Foundation’s main objective is to provide educational and practical experience in how a community foundation operates for the purpose of getting students involved in local “structured” philanthropy, including the evaluation and awarding of grants to local non-profit organizations for projects that benefit Wayne County youth…excluding scholarships. The WCCF is a not-for-profit charitable community organization established in 1978 to accept contributions, create and administer funds, and make grants for the benefit of the people of the greater Wayne County area. The Foundation has awarded more than $53 million in the form of grants and scholarships from its 355 separate funds.
