Wooster, Ohio: The Wayne County Community Foundation (WCCF) has introduced an online process for its semi-annual competitive grant-making cycle. Designed to increase responsiveness to area nonprofits while maximizing the impact on philanthropic investments, the move will simplify the far-reaching grants program conducted by WCCF across the county.
“The resource savings for grant applicants, review committees and WCCF staff will be significant”, said Executive Director Ferenc Relle, Jr. “The new online system will also allow us to be better stewards of our resources and the environment.”
The new system also has implications for future grant-making cycles. Nonprofits will be able to save information throughout the 2013 application process and store it for future applications. The review process will be strengthened and streamlined.
“The time and energy saved throughout this new process will allow nonprofits to focus more on mission-critical work to better serve community needs,” Relle said.
Instructions, FAQs and an online training presentation to guide applicants will be available on the WCCF Community Grants page of our website. Brief, one-hour, training sessions will be offered at 10AM and 3PM on January 22nd and 29th. Registration for training can be made by calling (330) 262-3877. During normal business hours, WCCF staff will be available to help answer questions and to provide guidance.
Since 1978, the Wayne County Community Foundation has been working to strengthen the community we all share. It is a nonprofit charitable community organization. Since inception, WCCF has awarded over $53 million in grants and scholarships back into the community.
